Fresh off of his first World Series, Matt Gangl is one of the rising stars in the sports video production business. As a director for Fox Sports, Gangl has served as lead director on everything from last October's epic Fall Classic to the MLB All-Star Game and college basketball. He also still enjoys his longtime gig as director of Minnesota Twins baseball and Minnesota Wild hockey for Fox Sports North up in the Twin Cities.
On this episode of The SVG Podcast, we chat with Matt about his career, how technology is changing the way baseball is produced, and what its been like following in the steps of a legend in Bill Webb as lead baseball director for Fox Sports.
Also, we are joined by our Chief Editor Jason Dachman to break down everything he saw behind-the-scenes at last weekend's NFL Draft. We'll look at how the event has evolved since leaving the cozy confines of Radio City Music Hall and put the microscope on the competing productions from ESPN and NFL Network/Fox Sports.
The SVG Podcast is for the sports-video–production professional looking to keep up with the latest in sports-video–production operations and technology.
