On this edition of The SVG Podcast, we are are live at the US Open in Flushing, NY, to sit down with ESPN VP of Production Jamie Reynolds. Now in its third year of an 11-year rights deal, ESPN will have delivered more than 130 hours of coverage on ESPN and ESPN2 and 1300-plus hours of streaming coverage by the time the tour concludes on Sunday. In addition, ESPN is once again playing the role of host broadcaster, serving the USTA and its international rights-holders.
A fixture of ESPN’s Grand Slam production team for more than a decade, Reynolds oversees ESPN’s productions at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
SVG’s Chief Editor Jason Dachman sat down with Reynolds at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (NTC) on the Friday of Championship Weekend to discuss his team’s production efforts this year at the Open.
